I'm a software engineer and former molecular ecologist. I build reliable backend systems and independent tools — particularly for scientific workflows, reproducibility, and data-intensive problems.

Now

Since the autumn of 2023 I've been at Qase, an all-in-one TestOps platform. I work on its analytics and AI features — a query language, aggregation at scale, and natural-language interfaces.

Background

Until 2014 I was a research associate in molecular ecology at the Institute of Environmental Problems of the North. I worked on phylogenies of butterflies and freshwater mussels, built pipelines for inferring and calibrating them, and modelled climatic niches for endangered species. That work left behind a handful of papers, some GenBank submissions, and a doctoral thesis I never defended.
